Since when you are in a wheelchair means that the lower part of your body is weak, people think that that can stop an individual from doing exercises when they are in a wheelchair. Being in a wheelchair doesn’t mean that you cant be able to do some exercises there are some exercises that you can do while seated in a wheelchair. We, therefore, have different kinds of exercises that one can do when in a wheelchair. We are going to discuss the exercises that will help you stay fit when seated in a wheelchair.
We have different types of wheelchairs of which among them is the manual wheelchair, this manual wheelchair is important since it enables one to do some exercises when they are moving the wheelchair by themselves. Now that you have a manual wheelchair, most of the times you will be required to move the wheelchair yourself from one place to another and by doing that you will be doing some exercises while seated in your wheelchair. Since by moving the wheelchair you will be doing some exercise one should always do that more often.
When you are in a wheelchair, since the upper part is okay you can be able to move on your sides that is right left and even in front. When you are in a wheelchair, it means that you will not be able to stand and by side bending you will not be required to stand you instead do the bendings while seated in a wheelchair. You will have to bend the entire upper side of your body sideways and repeat that more times. By doing that you will be making the upper side of your body as strong as possible.
To ensure that all the body is fit and not only the upper part one should also lift the knee to ensure that there is a good flow of blood throughout the body. You will not be able to lift your knee unless you control the lower part of your body. To make sure that the lower part is also okay, you will have to lift your knee and you will be required to lift your legs one after another for some period of time and these will ensure that your body is fit now!.
To make sure that your body is fit and you are seated on a wheelchair, you can strengthen your arms. By strengthening your arms, it means that you will be moving your arms in different directions to ensure that it is okay and strong. One will be required to take control of the upper part of the body when strengthening their body to ensure that they stay fit now.
