West Jefferson’s Camping Festival
Every last weekend of July, the High Country Bus Festival is being held. Since summer days are usually so hot, this is a great event to take advantage of the cool breeze high up in the mountains. However, it can get more chilly at night, so warm clothes are also a must! This occasion is more about meeting old and new friends alongside one another to take hold of the spirit of friendly relationship and just to have a pleasurable and remarkable weekend by means of camping out in the outdoors. This outdoor camping occasion is typically held right at the New River in Crumpler, North Carolina.
A lot of campers take their places beside the riverbank. Nevertheless, there are also quite a few camping necessities to be observed such as the regular camp tents, the trailers, and some Recreational vehicles. True to the camping theme, no food was provided so you either have to learn how to magically create food or just simply pack some food staples and cook over the regular fire from wood! During the night, some local bands like the Corduroy Commander will serenade and provide merriment to the people through music. Some music genres played are soft rock, blues, and country music.
Just inside the camping locations, there are a lot of sights to see and places to visit and linger about. What I’m making reference to are the camp sellers that provide a wide range of souvenirs and knick-knacks such as tie-dyed t-shirts, dreamcatchers and a lot of camping equipment.
Another is this thing called tubing down the river. With just a few bucks, you can plunge into the river in style with a big and yellow intertube. This enjoyable activity is more impressive if you are in a team of folks or with your good friends and loved ones. After that strenuous activity, a refreshing drink is usually served for a cheap price and you can just watch the magnificent view around the camping site. Mobile phone reception is more or less poor in the camping place so you can have a break from the busyness of social media and work and just take pleasure in the company of your spouse and children and close buddies.
The natural environment can also make you experience a tad more attached with Our mother earth! This camping activity is also a sure way to help your kids develop an engaging relationship with other people as the High Country Bus Festival is a kid-friendly event.
Thus, if you want to have a good time with your family and friends then don’t miss out on the next High Country Bus Festival!
